"MyBizView has given Daland the ability to drill deep into our business on a daily basis and to determine those Key Result Areas that need attention in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. We started out slow, focusing on Delivery Performance and Loss Prevention (theft prevention).
Over the last year we have improved our delivery metrics by focusing on results daily and weekly. Out The Door (OTD) in less than 20 minutes was 58% through Period 9, 2008 and is 72% in 2009. OTD in less than 25 minutes was at 75% through Period 9, 2008 and is 87% in 2009.
We have improved our discipline around the documentation of coupons and discounts and in the last year have terminated 10 people whom were found to be thieves.
Now that we have our RGMs on the system, we have a process in place whereby our RGMs prepare a sales forecast for an upcoming labor schedule week. Then, our DMs review the forecast and make changes and/or approve the sales forecast. Once the sales forecast is approved, the RGM prepares a labor schedule which the DM can review on line and approve or request the RGM to make changes. That is assisting our restaurants in doing a better job of managing their cost of labor.
We just started the process whereby my administrative assistant receives all Hot Line complaints and assigns the complaints to the proper person. We can then track the follow-up on that complaint on-line.
In 2010, we will be focusing on better utilizing MyBizView for Labor Management; and, on utilizing various reports to assist in building sales by day-part and by occasion.
MyBizView is a great system. I believe Daland has performed well over many years, but MyBizView has helped us take our game to the next level."
